Designed with a superb platform that eliminates the need for a box spring, the bed features ten wide slats that securely interlock with hardwood dowels on the side rails. Side rails are joined to the head and footboards with heavy-duty cast hangers, and no tools are required. King and Cal King sizes include center-reinforced support by way of a strong piece of hardwood that attaches to the head and foot board via drop-in hardware, just under the slats, giving full access to under-bed space. The traditional Shaker style emphasizes clean lines and balanced proportions, with four-sided tapered corner posts, chamfered edges, cove moldings, and the traditional round button shaker knob on accessory pieces.
