The Devonshire unveils a hand-crafted standard that rests on a foundation of British wool, featuring three distinct layers from surface to core. The ticking is woven from wool and viscose for a soft, comfortable feel against the skin, with viscose adding durability for decades of use. A layer of hand-teased Devonshire fleece wool provides immediate give, promoting breathable airflow to moderate temperature throughout the night, while a deeper layer of British fleece wool adds depth and resilience to prevent uneven surface compression over time.
The spring system features a single tier of 1,716 hand-nested, calico-pocketed Vanadium steel coils in a King size, each coil in its own calico pocket to respond to weight independently. Vanadium steel maintains tension longer than standard carbon steel, a reason it’s selected across the range. The Devonshire offers four tension options—Soft, Medium, Firm, and Extra Firm—with King sizes available as split models for partners with different preferences. Two rows of hand side-stitching reinforce the border coils, while hand-tufting with felt washers anchors fillings in place to prevent lateral shift and preserve a consistently comfortable sleeping surface for years to come.
